The Philippines reported as the new hub or cybersex capital in Asia. The growing cybersex trafficking trade involving children and family members in the act of which untoward to their infant understanding opted the administrations to fight the illegal industry.
The United Nations’ children’s agency (UNICEF) say the Philippines is the epicenter of cybersex trafficking trade, involving the use of webcam to exploit and recorded at least 3,000 per month.
Senator Loren Legarda said the Southeast Asian nation must better enforce its anti-trafficking law, which carries the threat of life imprisonment, but there must be global action to stop cybersex trafficking where victims are sold for sex online.
“The illegal trade is a complex web – battling it requires a concerted effort from all sectors of society,” Legarda added.
