Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan had earlier criticized the proposal of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to conduct drug testing for grade school students as early as 10 years old. Kiko also give comments to the proposed amount of P2.8 billion might lead to a larger scale of corruption.

He added that the action of the government is an admission that the brutal government war on drugs is ineffective.

“We propose that the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency shelve this slapdash and panicky plan trained on little children, and instead go after the big drug lords to stop the flow of illegal drugs,” Pangilinan said.
