CABINET OFFICIAL REVEALS MEDIA OLIGARCHS ARE BEHIND DUTERTE'S OUSTER STEPS

Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. has revealed and accused media and “oligarchs” joined together behind President Duterte ouster steps, from hitting the president “left and right”, referring to rallies, protests and fake news.

The campaign and warning of the president to file cases against tax evaders citing big companies brought these business tycoons to attack Duterte. Evasco added “For the first time, this government was able to say (to these oligarchs), ‘pay your taxes now.’"

Last year, Philippine Airlines paid its P6-billion debt to government while cigarette firm Mighty Corp. settled for P30 billion its tax delinquency, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee in the country faces tax evasion charges.
