Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said that there is no link that Naga City is the "hotbed" of illegal drugs in the region but said further that if crimes means is related to illegal drugs use and trade, considering Naga City among cities in the country is consistently 5th in the highest crime rate, then the President is correct in his statement released days back.
“Just two, three months ago, the Bicol was entry points of Shabu, especially the place parts of which is surrounded with shorelines but not necessarily in Naga City. In Camarines Sur, how many times did we recovered kilos of cocaine floating in the sea and another one was hidden by the fishermen. I think these incidents were reported to the president,” Albayalde said.
