Along with
the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights (UDHR), Vice President Leni Robredo stresses that we should all be respectful of human rights.
The Vice President says that it is the principle of the UDHR to give importance to every
life, respect each other’s dignities, and standing to give one’s family a good
life. VR Robredo says that it is only right and just to stand up for human
rights for a humane, relevant, and good change
in our country.
As we may
recall, VP Robredo has made statements against the president’s views on human
rights. So far, the president and the vice president have not meet eye to eye
on this matter.
The
UDHR is a historic document written by
the united nations general assembly back in December 10, 1948. Under this
document are 47 countries like the Philippines, Afghanistan, and the united
states of america.
