Department of Justice (DOJ) dismissed a rebellion complaint against Najiya Maute, wife of slain terrorist leader Mohammadhayan “Otto” Maute. DOJ added that providing food to the armed groups does not coincide as a rebel act.
In an eight-page resolution dated March 7, the DOJ ruled “Her act of bringing food and being with her husband are not overt acts of rebellion,” resolution signed by the panel investigators: Task Force Marawi chairperson Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Peter Ong, Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Alexander Suarez, and Assistant State Prosecutor Josie Christina Dugay.
