Laura Lehmann: “I felt so proud showing the world that I come from the land known for its people - their laughter, smile, spirit & warmth no matter where in the world they are,”

Nabigo man ang Beauty Queen na si Laura Lehmann na iuwi ang korona para sa Pilipinas, umuwi pa rin siya na may malaking mga ngiti sa kanyang labi.

Sabi niya ipinagmamalaki niya daw na isuot ang Philippine sash noong coronation night.

“I felt so proud showing the world that I come from the land known for its people - their laughter, smile, spirit & warmth no matter where in the world they are,” pahayag niya.

“When I first met the girls last month, the first thing almost all of them told me was that they had Filipinos in their neighborhood (kahit sa Caribbean guys paano kaya tayo na abot dun) & that they were the best & kindest type of people,” dagdag pa niya.

Sa kabila ng resulta ng kompetisyon, ayaw niya na maging malungkot ang kanyang mga taga supporta.

“What’s important is that we live our lives with a smile & with a heart, because we are so lucky. I want you to know that I had an amazing journey here & that I learned much more than any classroom could teach me,” saad niya.

Kahit hindi man siya ang tinanghal na Miss World , masaya pa rin si Laura dahil isa siya sa mga itinanghal na "Beauty with a Purpose' winner. Sinabi niyang ang beauty with a purpose award ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit sumali siya sa Miss World.

"The moment they announced the Beauty With A Purpose Winners!!! 🙊 Eeeek I was so happy. :) 🙈 

Because Beauty With A Purpose is really the reason I chose to join Miss World. Watcdhing everyone’s project was so inspiring & it made me so happy because some girls are really doing some amazing things,” sabi niya.
